Compaq Evo N1015v and Presario 900xx Keyboard Controller Firmware Update for HP Compaq Presario 920US IMPORTANT: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER TO THE COMPUTER WHILE PERFORMING THIS PROCEDURE! FIXES: - Adjusts the system thermal table.­ HOW TO USE: 1.­ Download the SoftPaq to a temporary,­ empty directory on your hard drive.­The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on theSoftPaq Number above.­ 2.­ From that drive and directory,­ execute the downloaded fileand follow the on-screen instructions.­ 3.­ After the diskette has been created,­ you may delete theSoftPaq file downloaded in Step 2.­ 4.­ Turn off the computer.­ 5.­ Place the newly created Compaq Presario 900xx/­Evo 1005v,­N1015v ROMPaq Diskette in Drive A:and turn on the computer.­ Note: For users that do not have a floppy drive build-in,­ please use USB floppy to perform new firmware update.­To enable USB floppy boot,­ please follow instructions below: 1.­ Turn on the system and press F.­10 to get to F.­10 setup.­ 2.­ In the advance section->select USB BIOS Lagacy support and Enable it.­ 3.­ Save F10 and exit.­ 4.­ System is now booting from USP floppy.­ Compatible devices: 470045-486
